Ok, lemme 'splain all this.

First of all, yes, I see how crappy the resolution and the colour and the dodgy converted and crappily resized images are. Ignore that for a little bit.

What I'm really getting at here is that this whole randomly posting stuff to my journal isn't really doing it for me. I need to get back to an ongoing strip and since I completely lack the creativity and inclination to return to No Horse Town for a fourth failed comeback I'm looking to start a new one.
Well, after months of vague planning I think I've finally got it sorted out. I have some characters, I have 6 or so strips written, and I'm liking how much there is to go on. Now I think I've also decided on a format - the single standard page.

What I'm after here is some kind of eager nodding from you few readers to indicate you might be interested in this, or some kind of head shaking. If you wish to comment on how you'd love to see this but doubt my ability to ever actually do it... you can shove those comments where the sun don't shine - my last failed comic comments page.

The basic outline is that this guy, Phillip, discovers he has this ugly monkey type thing of a "guardian familiar" and they're forced to gert used to each other. If it sounds like you've heard it before, you probably have, it's a fairly tried and tested set up. I assume, since it feels comfy and well worn to me. I also have the character of phillip's girlfriend, his best friend and Death, whose design i poached from the second "Black" strip which you can find somewhere in this journal archive to check out.

Most importantly, the reason this page looks average is because I was playing around with my new really shitty scanner and ComicLife, both of which I intend to use a lot of. I'm lazy, as we all know, and ComicLife is the best thing I've ever found to cut out the bits I don't like about making a comic; that jump between writing it & drawing pictures and it being ready to put up. So yes, there will be a fair bit of copy and pasting, only hopefully that'll mean more updates.

Anyway, comments. Oh, and I doubt the dashes of colour will stay. Maybe some sort of shading, but i'll do it by hand. I hate computer art programs.

You regularly updating would fill me with joy, because it would provide that semblance of contact which I'm just not getting at the moment. You and your new life, being all different and distant...

By the bye, did I ever express to you my theory? You changed city, hair colour and name over a remarkably short period, which makes me think you must be being hunted by some killer. Did I just endanger your life by putting that in writing?

You've foolishly neglected the possibility that I AM a killer. On the run.
And now, ironically, you've put you're life in danger by exposing me.

I also changed my underwear, but no one's mentioning that...

I can't find anything wrong with that concept; what matters is that you stick with it.
